Correction – 9/11: 20 Years Since, Many Unanswered Questions

This post corrects an incorrect point made in the previous post titled 9/11: 20 Years Since, Many Unanswered Questions. Specifically, the point about the two airplanes flying at 500 mph into the two WTC towers is incorrect; they did not fly at 500 mph, only the American Airlines Flight 77 jet flew at 500 mph, eventually crashing into the Pentagon building.

As explained by Joel Skousen on this Twitter(X) Space, only American Airlines Flight 77 flew at 500 mph, and it flew into the Pentagon without the wings falling apart, despite exceeding the VMO. Furthermore, as Skousen explains, the plane that left Dulles Airport and one of the planes that left Boston Logan airport did a rendez-vous with two other jets that took off from the U.S. West Coast; those were the jets that truly did eventually collide into the Pentagon and the WTC South Tower.
