Remember this when any of the talking heads in the media, the Federal Reserve, or politicians try to push their mindless narrative about the strength of the economy.
As the link from blacklistednews.com, a recommended source on this blog, explains here:
If the economy was robust and if, as a culture and civilization, the American(U.S.) people are actually happy, then over half of young Americans, most especially young U.S. adults, would not be living with their parents. If the economy was in good shape, then most young people would not be living in with their parents. On the contrary, they’d be moving out of their parents homes, buying their own, getting married, and having children of their own – the things previous generations did in order to ensure civilization could continue.
Even if people really want to think that the COVID-19 lockdowns are legitimate and the right thing to make policy, it cannot be denied that people have been impoverished, as have the abilities and prospects of young people, such as this author, to get on with their lives, continue their families, and civilizations. Also, rather (un)conveniently, nobody advocating any of these COVID-19 lockdown policies has ever once cared to measure the number of lives lost due to the lockdown policies that would have otherwise been saved. Which side of the debate is truly humane? Whatever the answer, it cannot be those advocating any of these COVID-19 lockdown policies, in even the smallest possible degree.
