Doctor Admits He Was Wrong to Advocate Lock-downs, Mandates & Other Restrictions – Will Any Others?

Dr. Joseph Fraiman, an emergency medicine physician, admitted he was wrong to believe in the mainstream COVID-19 narrative, mainly that lock-downs, mandates(like masks and vaccines), and restrictions were necessary to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and also prevent deaths from the virus.

During a roundtable meeting held by [Florida] Gov. Ron DeSantis Monday, Dr. Joseph Fraiman addressed fellow physicians, including the doctors who wrote the Great Barrington Declaration, admitting they were right that Covid policies were causing more harm than good.

Also, personally I would like to apologize to the three other scientists sitting with me here on Zoom, the proponents of the Barrington Declaration, because I… initially I did think you all were crazy, or dumb, or maybe you just didn’t understand what I was seeing, but I now realize – actually, I’m sorry because I believe now you guys were correct and you were correct from the beginning. And I wish that more people including myself had realized that sooner, and I hope more people realize that soon enough.”

What started as the strategy and request of the public to allow their freedoms to be violated for just two weeks to flatten the curve, “Two weeks to flatten the curve” was the slogan, prolonged into a nearly two-year long power grab by the governments of nearly every nation, on both national and local levels, to violate fundamental rights. Even in countries like the United States and Canada, which have documents limiting the power of the governments of those two countries(the Constitution for the United States and the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms for Canada), the governments of both countries violated the laws of their country i.e. the limits enumerated in the Constitution and Charter, and thereby abused their emergency powers, most egregiously to violate fundamental rights. This was illegal, destructive, inexcusable, unethical, and downright wrong, as Dr. Fraiman has courageously and righteously come out and declared, after promoting these policies for nearly two years. The almost-literally trillion dollar question now becomes, will other doctors who promoted the COVID-19 policies follow Dr. Fraiman’s example and admit that they too have been wrong? Of course they should, but will they is another question, which will be the forecast of this post.

The forecast is that only a small minority of doctors who advocated the COVID-19 lock-downs, mandates, and other restrictions will follow Dr. Fraiman’s example by admitting to being wrong. Not only are the three words “I was wrong” arguably the hardest three words for any human being to say, but many doctors likely face professional pressure to avoid opposing the prevailing wisdom about COVID-19, especially the efficacy and righteousness of the lock-downs and mandates. Whether it’s threats to lose the license to practice medicine, which Dr. Scott Jensen faced in the early days of the Plandemic, threats to lose opportunities for promotion, or general harassment, most doctors sadly succumb to the pressure to confirm to the majority and media consensus, even if wrong, destructive and unethical. With all that being said, at best, only 10% of doctors who initially advocated the COVID-19 lock-downs, mandates, and other restrictions will follow Dr. Fraiman’s brave and righteous example by ever coming out and admitting to being wrong.
