Early Signs that Texas is becoming a Democrat(Blue) State

Along with the schools indoctrinating children with leftist and Democrat-leaning teachings like promoting socialism and Critical Race Theory, the courts becoming more inclined to rule in favor of leftists, and the illegal immigration on the Texas-Mexico border resulting in large numbers of foreigners, at least 90% of whom vote Democrat, there is another major cause that I recently discovered that is driving Texas to eventually become a blue state. That cause is voter apathy, complacency, indolence and inaction, especially by the Republican party. The vast majority of Texas republican voters succumb to the temptation to believe that because they’ve lived in Texas their whole life, and because the state has always been Republican during their lifetimes to date, that Texas will never become a blue state, mainly because it has never happened. People said this about California and Virginia, and they were sadly wrong.

I saw this voter apathy and inaction in full display during the primary elections on March 1, 2022. First of all, in Montgomery County, where I currently live, the Republicans are the majority, and some have even told me this is the reddest(most republican) county in the state of Texas. Despite being the reddest county in the state, on election day, the Republicans were short-staffed of election workers, ranging from election judges, election clerks, and poll watchers. How could this be in the reddest county in the state? I volunteered to be an election judge, and at my voting precinct, I was the only republican staff member present. The Democrats were nearly fully-staffed, only missing an alternate judge. My Democrat judge told me that Republican judges, clerks and other staff for the Republicans are usually elder, retired people, which makes sense considering the primary elections are on a Tuesday, a day that non-retired people have to work. Sure, they can use up a vacation day and/or paid time off, but volunteering on election day isn’t a fun or leisurely activity, in fact it’s a 15-hour workday, from setting up the machines to delivering the ballots back to the county election central. The traffic at election central is very bad, as all election workers of all other precincts are also rushing to submit their ballots and then go home to finally rest. Furthermore, the Democrat judge told me that Republican staffing was short during the 2020 general election due to fears about COVID-19, which is bizarre considering the Republican party is supposed to be the party opposing the COVID-19 restrictions and agenda, which is primarily being pushed by the Democratic party. I sincerely believe the Democrat judge was telling me the truth. Additionally, the media is all but declaring the COVID-19 pandemic over, and presumably, those judges and other staff, or perhaps I should say former, for the Republicans believe in the COVID-19 vaccine, and so have taken it, and so they should be protected from the virus, right? If the vaccine really isn’t protective enough in their minds, then why can’t they wear a mask, which they presumably believe in too, like most of the Democrat staffers were doing, and come into work at the polling locations? Bottom line, there is no excuse for republicans to fail to show up to do their civic duties at the polling sites.

Additionally, in Harris County, TX, where the city of Houston is located, there were 10,000 uncounted ballots, which was enough to cause now former elections administrator of Harris County Isabel Longoria to resign. Even some of my friends heard about people not being able to or allowed to vote Republican in polling sites within Harris County because those polling sites didn’t have enough Republican staffers. This is as much the fault of lazy and care-free republicans as it is the fault of corrupt and unscrupulous Democrats. Although Harris County is mostly Democratic, this is again another example of inexcusable laziness and inaction on the part of Republican citizens. As much as I hate the fundamentally socialist agenda and policies, ones that give the government more power to impose even more rules and regulations to violate fundamental rights and liberty, pushed by the Democrats and their constituents, I must respect their activity and that they get out on the streets to protest and advocate for their horrific policies, rather than sit on the couch, watch TV, and drink copious amounts of alcohol like Republican citizens tend to do nowadays.

Unlike the Democrats, the Republican voters are not very active. Most republicans don’t get off the couch or quit watching TV and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. They definitely do not get on the streets to peacefully and emphatically protest against the growing abuse of power by governments on all levels(federal, state, local etc.), at least nowhere near to the extent that the Democrats do. It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Democrats continue to get away with election fraud, and also legitimately supplant incumbent republicans in some positions.

The election results also put voter complacency, indolence and stupidity on full display. Most incumbents, such as Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, won by landslides. It seems that republican voters either forgot or willfully refused to care that Governor Abbott shut down the state and imposed the illegal and unconstitutional mask and social distancing mandates for a whole year. Most voters also don’t appear to be bothered by Abbott’s failure to prevent the Texas energy grid from failing, by precluding energy grid workers from working on site to upkeep and maintain the grid. Abbott also took lots of money from those energy companies – another disturbing misdeed of Abbott’s that does not seem to trouble voters. Although Abbott and Patrick are okay at best, they’re both opportunists and certainly not outspoken and brave action takers like Florida governor Ron DeSantis, considering all the media attacks DeSantis has taken for loudly rejecting all COVID restriction protocols. The people had a chance to vote in better candidates for governor like Allen West, who I voted for, or Don Huffines, both of whom are much better protectors and promoters of liberty and fundamental rights than Abbott; the same is true about candidates like Daniel Miller, who I voted for, and Trayce Bradford to replace Lt. Governor Dan Patrick. Instead, the voters choose complacency, Abbott and Patrick, rather than improvement.

As someone who has lived most of his life in hard-core and radical blue states, I can credibly identify early signs of a state eventually becoming blue, and I see those early ominous signs even in still-red Texas in the form of voter apathy, complacency and indolence. These ominous signs, as well as the schools, courts and seemingly unstoppable illegal immigration from the Texas-Mexico border all point to the future of Texas one day eventually becoming another blue state; when that happens, the whole country will also be blue. No one can say they weren’t warned.
